Hi, I’m Sheri, registered dietitian, director of Eat Great Feel Great and unlike any dietitian you have ever met. I know that there is a wealth of free information available off of the internet….so why would anyone pay to see a dietitian? My passion is giving highly personalised advice and getting to the root of whatever diet-related or medical issue you may be struggling with. My gentle and compassionate approach and my ability to “think outside the box” means I am able come up with creative solutions even to the most complex nutrition problems. I’m a very firm believer in “practicing what I preach” which means I will never ask you to do something which I am not prepared to do myself. Thank you so much for helping me work up a holistic plan that works for me – diet, supplements and exercise for health all covered in one package. You have successfully navigated my bariatric surgery and early onset menopause -quite a challenging package to consider! After breast surgery, radio therapy and then four years of taking medication, I put on about a stone and a half in weight. I assumed it would disappear after I finished the course of the drug but it stayed resolutely round my midriff. With advice and guidance from Sheri, I have started to lose weight but am eating a very varied and tasty diet (which still includes the odd glass or two of wine)!

I was given Sheri’s contact details by my father-in-law, and I am so glad that he did.
I have suffered for 7 years plus with Candida and Leaky Gut, and although I knew what I needed to do, I found the help of Sheri and the advice she gave me was exceptional. Not only did she teach me to understand my symptoms, but to step back and listen to my body’s needs. She gave me action plans to follow, which helped enormously and to understand what foods triggered my symptoms. I still have a long way to go with what foods my body can and can’t have, but I will definitely be staying in contact with Sheri for future appointments. I personally feel if I hadn’t of visited Sheri, my diet would have spiraled out of control, and my candida would have only got worse. I would 150% recommend Sheri to anyone. By the time I contacted Sheri I was feeling pretty frustrated, as no matter what I did I couldn’t lose the weight I had gained since menopause had arrived. However, I also had some health considerations that made weight loss a little bit more tricky.
What impressed me the most was Sheri’s approach, she takes time to understand your individual circumstances and ensures that she takes the healthiest route towards weight loss. Firstly, looking for all the factors that may contribute towards the weight gain, including health considerations as well as lifestyle. This was such a motivational factor for me, working towards the healthiest, most vibrant me feels good and improves my body image, rather than just focusing on the numbers.
In fact very quickly, with a few adjustments I simply didn’t want to eat and drink in the same way anymore and was inspired to take a look at my overall self care. Additionally she is always available to help and her frequent posts and blogs are interesting and keep the motivation going.

I went to Sheri feeling frustrated and confused after repeatedly losing weight through commercial diets, only to put it back on again. I didn’t understand where I was going wrong. Sheri looked at what I was eating and was able to see that it was the proportion of energy I was getting from each food group, rather than the simple number of calories I was eating that was causing me problems. In addition to this, Sheri encouraged me to think about hunger and fullness and to eat according to what my body was telling me. She was not deterred by my “fussy” eating habits and food intolerances, and provided suggestions for meals to aid my new approach. I have not counted a single calorie since working with Sheri but have steadily lost 1lb a week through following her sensible and sustainable advice. I will never follow a commercial diet again and would encourage anyone with a weight loss goal to invest in their long term health by seeking Sheri’s outstanding professional guidance.

After putting up with a wide set of unpleasant stomach pains / related symptoms for months, and restricting my diet more and more to try and resolve it, i finally thought “hang it all” and found Sheri via the BDA website. After a very thorough consultation and giving her full disclosure of my medications (both prescribed and over the counter stuff), Sheri set me a dietary protocol and advised me to stop taking some of my otc supplements and to discuss changing or ceasing my medications with a doctor, as they were all likely to be contributing to my problems. One week into her protocol, i was pain free for the first time in ages; sleeping better, and feeling a massive improvement both physically and psychologically as a result. I could have saved myself months of poor quality of life if I’d contacted her sooner. I cannot recommend her highly enough; as well as being incredibly knowledgeable, she has a friendly manner which put me at ease straight away. I am looking forward to our next “project” together, as this one has resolved so quickly 🙂

Based on a non fasting blood test, my GP suggested statins for my high cholesterol levels. Unhappy with this I decided to ask Sheri to check my diet. So glad I did because she advised more detailed tests, explained the results to me and worked out a plan of action. After three months I’ve had a retest – no statins required. I can recommend Sheri, she is knowledgeable, thorough and clear in her advice, plus her blogs are an inspiring read.

I am very glad that I consulted Sheri and benefited from her expertise. Sheri was so very helpful when it came to helping me plan meals and think of multiple ways to get my required amounts of protein, carbs etc. She was happy to answer any of my many health and diet related questions and had a vast amount of knowledge and useful suggestions. I was the archetypal serial dieter. My eating wasn’t so much out of control as out of synch..
Then a diagnosis of pre-diabetes focussed my attention. I went on a NHS course – which was dreadful and just delivered scare stories about diabetes without offering any sensible solutions. I had spotted Sheri’s web site previously and thought I’d give it a go, after all I had tried everything else.
Sheri helped me find my own solutions, with a bit of prompting! I don’t get hungry, I’m not eating anything I don’t like and I have far more energy physically and emotionally. And I have lost a stone over several months but the main thing is I feel better.
